A historic French brand, regarded by many as the definitive workwear label, Vetra was founded in Paris by Edouard Beerens in the year of 1927.
This particular model is produced in the iconic French workwear/hydrone blue colourway, in a heavy cotton drill. The fabric weight is sure to lend itself well to the autumn/winter months. The jacket pairs perfectly with chinos and sneakers, for a look which evokes the late, great, American photographer Bill Cunningham.
The John Simons Overcoat is based upon a vintage Burberry model famously purchased and worn by our very own proprietor in 1961, whilst working as a window dresser for Cecil Gee on Charing Cross Road. With a seamless one piece raglan sleeve, which flatters all shapes and sizes, our overcoat is the perfect combination of functionality and elegance.
This particular model is produced in a beautiful Harris Tweed fabric. This overcoat is reminiscent of early 1950s American outerwear, in the period that predates the Ivy League Boom years of the latter 1950s and 60s. A veritable slice of Mid Century Americana, produced with fabric from one of the oldest British Mills and delivered direct from Chiltern Street.
