Founded in Maine in 1876, G.H. Bass has been creating quality American footwear for over a century, with a heritage rooted in craftsmanship, practicality, and timeless design. Best known for introducing the Weejuns penny loafer in the 1930s, the brand became closely associated with Ivy League style. The Weejuns were a firm favourite at J. Simons, Covent Garden in the 1980s, where they became an essential part of John Simons’ vision of classic American style in Britain. Today, G.H. Bass remains a cornerstone of enduring casual footwear.
