Green Handwoven Shirt

Meet the Ivy Shirt! A must have item for your mid-century modern wardrobe, incorporating John’s favourite Ivy League details from the 1950s/1960s.

Of primary importance to many aficionados of the Ivy League look, is the generous collar roll. When fully fastened, the long collar points cascade beautifully, recalling what John describes as “The Ivy League Spearpoint collar”, a feature which would often be found on shirting from the “Jivy Ivy” period in the latter half of the 1960s. When worn open the collar rolls beautifully, a feat which has been achieved by omitting any lining from the collar and placket.

In addition to the elongated collar points, we have chosen to utilise a seven-button front, which was inspired by the likes of Gant, Sero and Troy Guild shirtmakers, all of whom introduced 7-button plackets as part of their offerings in the 1960s.

Constructed from an authentic handwoven cotton, this shirt is sure to serve you well and keep you cool everywhere.

A HOLLYWOOD FAVOURITE. WORN BY LEGENDS.

The story of The Original Playboy shoes began in 1936 when English shoemaker Hutton in Northampton created a completely new shoe with a unique and patented crepe sole construction. The ‘Play-Boy’, as it was originally called. The construction was based on a thick 100% natural crepe sole attached to the upper, a signature piping sewn all around the shoe and an inch-high crepe foxing to complete the shoe.

An iconic, and timeless, classic that has since been worn by royalties, legendary Hollywood actors, jazz musicians, rockabillies, hip-hoppers and a host of other good people around the world.
