Founded at Yale in 1902, J. Press became one of the defining names in American Ivy style, synonymous with the repp tie, natural-shouldered sack jacket, Oxford button-down and iconic “Shaggy Dog” Shetland.
Its influence later found a devoted following in Japan, where J. Press remains central to the Ametora tradition. The J. Press Japan collection includes beautifully crafted fly-front macs, Shaggy Dog Shetlands and signature flap-pocket button-downs to mention but a few.
More than a clothing label, J. Press is one of the institutions upon which Ivy style was built. At John Simons, it feels perfectly at home.
