The Ametora straight collar shirt takes its cue from the clean Ivy League look of the early 1960s. The collar is cut in a proper straight point style, reminiscent of the shirts worn by John F. Kennedy. Simple, elegant, and particularly sharp when worn with a JS Ivy suit.
The cloth is an 80 count two ply selvedge poplin, woven slowly on traditional shuttle looms. The result is a crisp, smooth broadcloth with a light, refined handle and a character that modern high speed looms rarely reproduce. Like all traditionally woven cloth, it softens and improves with wear.
