John Simons

Loop Collar Overshirt — 50s Atomic Mahogany

The John Simons Loop Collar Overshirt harkens back to the West Coast Ivy Style of the mid-late 1960s. A look that was most notably popularised by the Beach Boys, the Loop Collar Overshirt is a versatile item of clothing, which can be worn as a single layer of outerwear on a cool summer’s evening, or as a layering piece during the colder months. Indeed, this style of garment has a rich history at John Simons, having first been stocked by John himself back in 1960.

The JS1955 Loop Collar Overshirt features:

  • Traditional relaxed cut
  • Luxurious wool fabric
  • Camp collar
  • Two flap chest pockets
  • Single button cuff
  • Five button front

This particular model is produced in a traditional Navy atomic check in an extremely comfortable soft wool. We recommend pairing the JS1955 Loop Collar Overshirt with our F.O.B Factory Beford cords, an Alan Paine Mock Neck and Paraboot Avignons, for a classic West Coast Ivy Look.
